Ksusha Lastochka and Maxim Trulov were born in 1991. Prior their collaboration, Ksusha studied animation in St. Petersburg, while Maxim was busy with public art on the streets of Nizhny Novgorod.
Today they are most known as the authors and masterminds of the art collective “Your mum's knight.” They have exhibited extensively at festivals and exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
The developed style of Your Mum's Knight (YMK) is based on two principles: a black-and-white color scheme and detailed graphic imagery.
YMK creates works inside their own Universe of characters. Today the count is up to 50 characters. There are many creatures in their oeuvre: gods and warriors, the usual people we know and fantasy figures.
The geography of their universe is wide: it includes nordic shores populated by giants - and small Canadian towns colonized by skaters. The Universe of YMK keeps growing and developing.
