Beate Höing, born in 1966 in Coesfeld, Germany, where she continues to live and work, is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting and ceramics. She studied at the Freie Kunstakademie Rhein-Ruhr in Essen and Krefeld between 2001 and 2005, and since 2010, she has been a lecturer at the European Academy of Fine Arts in Trier.
Höing's work draws inspiration from cultural traditions, myths, and fairy tales, blending ornamental and textural elements into her unique visual language. Through her painting and ceramic sculptures, she explores a delicate balance between reality and fantasy, where beauty and the unsettling coexist.
