Marshall Gallery is pleased to present Marginal, a solo exhibition of recent works by Los Angeles-based artist Rodrigo Valenzuela. Primarily composed of works from three of the artist’s most recent subversive series —Weapons, General Song, and Masks —the exhibition explores Valenzuela’s sustained investigation into the visual and material languages of labor, power, and resistance. The title Marginal underscores the artist’s focus on what lies at the periphery, whether geographic, political, or cultural, and on the individuals and communities who inhabit those spaces.
