COMPANION is delighted to share the gallery with Wet Wet Mud III, an annual group exhibition featuring nine female and nonbinary Hoosier artists: Lizzie Bilbrey, Iryna Bondar, Marissa Cohen, Jess Dunn, Lily Groot, Charlie Kozlowski, Alexandria Scott, Lily Tade, and Anisha Thiel. Organized by Lizzie Bilbrey, Wet Wet Mud is the culmination of a 4-year-long weekly communal art-making process also hosted by Bilbrey. This third iteration of sharing that fertile process and its fruits with the public explores the role of texture in the artists’ creative practice and throughout their lives. Undercurrents of place and family course through artworks in video, painting, collage, sculpture, and textile.
