Sola Olulode's 'Bed Series', is now for the first time coming together. This body of work encompasses who she is in a very poignant way, being a mix of two cultures. The material with which her works are made, and the processes used, are rooted in her Nigerian background, whereas the subject matter is inspired by her life in London. A series which she has often returned to over the past two years, Sola would like to now create an homage to this theme and push the curatorial boundaries of the material and her craftsmanship. The booth at 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair will be transformed into an immersive experience, allowing the viewer to engage in a way that hasn't been done before.
