Thandiwe Muriu

Thandiwe Muriu showcases Africa’s unique mix of vibrant cultures, textiles and ideas of beauty. The exuberant patterns and playful incorporation of everyday objects showcase her Kenyan identity, pushing the viewer to examine identity and self-expression, exploring what it means to be a strong, modern, woman. Thandiwe Muriu has works in major collections including: Fondation Gandur from Switzerland, UHODA collection from Belgium, and The Contemporary African Art collection by Pigozzi, Hood Museum of Art, USA, Beth Rudin DeWoody Collection, USA, Joy Simmons Collection, USAHer work have been presented in several group shows: at the Seattle Art Museum ( USA), Kunsthal KAdE Museum (Netherlands). This year, the artist will take part of the exhibition "Passengers in Transit", a Collateral Event of the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.

Christa David

Christa David is a visual artist, writer and researcher. Inspired by the artistic works of Romare Bearden, Wangechi Mutu, Alma Woodsey Thomas and literary works of James Baldwin, Christa David fuses the mediums of painting, collage and assemblage to create and recreate stories about home, belonging, faith, and identity. Her work is held in personal and public collections including the prominent David C. Driskell Center (USA) , Fondation Gandur (Switzerland) and has been exhibited at AKAA Fair in Paris, France, and PRIZM Art Fair at Art Basel in Miami Beach.

Modou Dieng Yacine
Modou Dieng Yacine was born in Saint-Louis, Senegal. He is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the symbolic and mythological power of pop culture through mixed media and hybrid materials. His work constructs a mural of archetypal cultural imagery filtered through the perspective of a split identity between Blackness and African Philosophy. Dieng exhibits his works in art galleries based in North America (Chicago, New York, Los Angeles), and Latin America (Colombia, Mexico). His works are also present in the collections of the Studio Museum in New York, at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington DC, and the Kranzberg Arts Foundation in St Louis, Missouri.
