BUTTER 2025 | WILL WATSON

Will Watson (Indianapolis, IN) earned his MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD, in 2018, and his BFA from the Herron School of Art and Design at Indiana University Purdue University (IUPUI) in 2011. Watson's artistic accomplishments have been recognized and celebrated with a solo exhibition hosted by Freight and Volume Gallery in Tribeca, NYC, and participated in the esteemed Chicago Art Expo, Future Fair, and NADA House Artist Residency on Governor’s Island. Watson’s work is about the moments that linger. Narratives rooted in Black family archives, contemporary life, and the rhythms of everyday experience. His practice explores memory, identity, and the ever-present act of becoming.
