This exhibition features new works specifically created for the event, as well as recent pieces, including his Rhizome Bookshelf, which was unveiled for the first time during his solo exhibition at the Musée national des arts asiatiques – Guimet (MNAAG) in 2021 and has since become part of the collections of the Mobilier National (2022 acquisition campaign).
In conjunction with the presented sculptural works, Pierre Bonnefille will also showcase a body of pictorial works from the Bronze Paintings and Furoshiki series, which share a common characteristic with his Rhizome series: the strength of pictorial gesture.
