Stig De Block

Stig De Block's photography is characterized by strong color palettes and graphic line work that explore the imaginative possibilities of his surroundings. Compositions are inspired by the razor-sharp aesthetics of 20th-century Photorealist paintings and Fauvism. A director too, his story-driven documentary approach and cinematic eye finds explicit beauty in the authentic. Residing between Antwerp, Belgium & Los Angeles, the latter was where he built his “Back to Back - From Backyard to Boulevard” - a body of work tributing lowrider culture in LA.
