Annely Juda Fine Art will devote its Kabinett at Art Basel 2026 to the works of British artist Roger Ackling (1947-2014). A contemporary of Richard Long and Hamish Fulton, with whom he collaborated and shared an early commitment to working directly in the landscape, Ackling developed a singular practice rooted in time, light and found materials. In 2025, Ackling received a major survey of his work with a comprehensive exhibition that travelled from Norwich Castle Museum, to the Henry Moore Institute and finally on to the Pier Arts Centre in Orkney. A focused selection of works at Art Basel 2026 spanning his career will pay tribute to a pioneer widely regarded as one of the most quietly influential artists of the late twentieth century.
