No Man’s Art Gallery is honoured to present Heat Wave the third solo exhibition of Marilyn Sonneveld (1990, NL) at the gallery. After her institutional solo exhibition When the Sun Comes Up at Kunsthal, Rotterdam, 2023, Sonneveld further explores the abilities of painting and sculpting with glass, alongside new paintings that show a step further into abstraction.
In Heat Wave Sonneveld presents a new body of works that reveal a certain temperature, pressure and humidity akin to weather maps. Behind these high pressure areas of colorful blends we catch a glimpse of intimate settings and emotional scenes.
