Ekaterina Popova is set to unveil her latest collection, "Room For You," at A Very Serious Gallery in Chicago. This marks her first solo exhibition with the gallery, running from June 7 to July 6, 2024.
"Room For You" centers on intimate, cozy, and inviting home interiors, capturing themes of rest and self-care. Through this body of work, Popova delves into the essence of domestic spaces that provide comfort and solace.
Hailing from Russia, Ekaterina Popova is renowned for her contemporary oil paintings of interiors and landscapes. She earned her Bachelor's in Fine Art from Kutztown University in 2011 and has exhibited internationally. Influenced by post-impressionism, fauvism, and magical realism, Popova's art deeply explores mood, emotion, and themes of home and belonging.
Her work has been featured in prestigious galleries worldwide, including Cohle Gallery in Paris, The Painting Center in New York, and Paradigm Gallery in Philadelphia. Popova's artistic journey has been highlighted in numerous publications, such as Colossal, Flow Magazine, Beautiful Bizarre, and American Art Collector. She is also the founder of Create! Magazine and Art Queens, and the host of the Art & Cocktails podcast. Additionally, she has co-authored two books: The Complete Smartist Guide and The Creative Business Handbook.
While she works in Philadelphia, she will be joining us for the opening on June 7, from 6-10pm.
