CARVALHO returns to The Armory Show featuring three female artists, Élise Peroi (b. 1990, Nantes, France), Rosalind Tallmadge (b. 1987, Cincinnati, Ohio), and Anoushka Mirchandani (b. 1988, Pune, India), who makes her debut with the gallery. This year's presentation foregrounds practices operating within the expanded field of painting, privileging material sensitivity and bodily perception over image-based representation. Working at the intersection of architecture and tactility, the three artists engage opacity, permeability, and scale as conceptual tools.
The Viewing Room includes works by Rachel Mica Weiss, Heath Wae, Alicja Biała, Kristian Touborg, and Corinna Gosmaro, ahead of her FRIEZE London presentation with CARVALHO this October.
