Galerie Poggi

       ITTAH YODA     CECILIA GRANARA

never the same ocean       breathing the water

The two in-situ projects presented in the gallery's cabinets plunge the viewer into imaginary worlds that aspire to redefine our relationship to the Other - the Other being equally human, organic, mineral, inanimate or even digital. To this end, the artists crush time and space, superimposing forms that are both ancient and futuristic, immersing us in a cosmos that is altogether familiar and profoundly alien. For their projects at the gallery in particular, water is emphasized in its generative nature. Both cabinets propose immersive environments, in which a type of gestation is at work. One that is as much tangible - there is a culture of phytoplankton - as it is speculative: fiction becomes the place where the real is put at a distance, so as to better return to it.
