With UNFOLDED SPACE, Enrico Bach explores the spaces between perception, memory, and imagination. His latest works do not tell complete stories, but instead create open pictorial spaces whose meaning unfolds through the act of viewing.
Empty spaces and omissions play a central role. Rather than simply representing absence, they open up room for associations, memories, and individual perception. The interplay of visible and invisible, presence and absence becomes an integral part of the works.
UNFOLDED SPACE describes this process of opening and unfolding: Bach’s paintings extend beyond the boundaries of the image, creating space for new perspectives and different forms of perception.
