galerie burster is pleased to present the first international solo presentation by Laura Mercedes Arndt at NADA New York 2026. The presentation marks an important next step in her artistic career and introduces her compelling pictorial worlds to an international audience on this scale for the first time. It is Arndt's first solo presentation at an art fair and also her first fair presentation in the United States.

In her works, Arndt unfolds quiet yet deeply moving pictorial spaces in which figures meet, support one another, and remain connected in moments of intense closeness. Her painting speaks of community, care, and trust, developing a poetic visual language that resonates long after viewing. Educated at the Berlin Weissensee School of Art, where she completed her master student degree under Pia Linz in 2025, Arndt was recognized early on with awards including the first prize of museum FLUXUS+studis. Her works have been shown at Museum FLUXUS+ Potsdam, Künstlerhaus Bethanien, and at POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair, where they have touched an expanding audience.

Laura Mercedes Arndt (*1999 in Ribnitz-Damgarten, Germany) develops her painting through an exploration of community, the body, and proximity. Her figures appear in collective constellations in which they support, hold, and touch one another. Rather than individual portraits, she creates pictorial spaces in which identity is negotiated as a shared condition.
