Retratos 11 x 14 - GRACIELA MASTER SET

"I like it when subjects suggest poses to me. I had made a film about Cuevas when I was studying cinema, and later I photographed him. During one session, he got into his bed with all his self-portraits, or else I was the one who thought of putting his self-portraits on the bed, I don't remember who had the idea. It's really pleasant to work with people who have a good imagination, who participate in the creative process, in such a way that you achieve a collaboration that can yield really good results. That would happen to me with Francisco Toledo and Julio Galán, because these are people who go along with the game. Some people don't collaborate and depend on the photographer's talent to transform the insipid into something interesting. There are very shy people who hate to be photographed; I'm one of them, which is why I prefer self-portraits."

All works are $4,000
