Split Level

Rimadesio
October 01 – October 03, 2026

Kelly-McKenna Gallery is pleased to participate in SPLIT LEVEL, an intimate contemporary art fair at Rimadesio in New York, October 1–3, 2026. Set within the design showroom, the fair places artworks alongside furniture and architectural elements, inviting visitors to spend time looking, exploring, and engaging in conversation.

We will present works by Paul Leibow and Jenny Day, two artists who transform familiar forms into unexpected encounters with memory, imagination, and the environments we inhabit.

Paul Leibow

A house can be immediately recognizable without revealing much about the life inside it. Paul Leibow’s sculptural houses occupy that space between familiarity and mystery. Elevated on slender supports, their tilted roofs and implied interiors suggest shelters that are at once inviting and precarious. These imagined structures become portraits of the hopes, routines, and memories we attach to the places we inhabit. Working across sculpture, painting, and mixed media, Leibow brings a longstanding interest in design and everyday visual language to objects that reward close attention.

Jenny Day

Jenny Day’s work draws us into a world where playfulness and unease coexist. Across paintings and mixed-media ceramic installations, animals, everyday objects, and fragments of landscape become part of exuberant scenes shaped by personal memory and environmental concern. Humor and fantasy offer a way into subjects that can be difficult to confront: ecological damage, instability, and the need to adapt. Based in Cerrillos, New Mexico, Day combines her training in painting with a background in environmental studies. Her work makes room for delight while asking what it means to keep creating, caring, and finding possibility in an uncertain world.
