Steve Hash (b. 1982) is a Los Angeles-based sculptor and installation artist whose powerful, monochromatic works explore isolation, spirituality and human connection. Raised off-grid in a secluded Christian commune in the forests of Mississippi, he draws on that formative experience of dislocation and transcendence to create immersive pieces that evoke both fragility and monumentality. His work has been exhibited at major institutions including the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles and LA Louver, and has been featured in publications such as Artforum and Forbes.
