NICOLETTI – SEQUENCE / FRAGMENT – JULIE BÉNA, BORIS CAMACA, ANA VIKTORIA DZINIC, TYLER EASH, NANA WOLKE

To accompany Hugo Servanin's solo exhibition, Environment 12, NıCOLETTı is delighted to present a display of new works by Julie Béna, Boris Camaca, Ana Viktoria Dzinic, Tyler Eash and Nana Wolke. Exhibited in the second room of our new gallery space on 91 Paul Street in Shoreditch, London, the artworks analyse contemporary modes of representation in painting, drawing, sculpture and photography. Through multiple techniques involving the sequencing, layering, saturating and/or fragmenting of images, the artworks question traditions of portraiture, which is here envisioned as an assemblage of fact, memory and fiction. In so doing, the artists invite us to reflect upon the relationship between perception, figuration and identity production.
