WOLFGANG SUSCHITZKY ARCHIVE

The Hyman Collection contains an archive of Wolf Suschitzky's black and white as well as colour photographs, negatives, transparencies, correspondence, film reels of his advertisements, ephemera, cameras etc. The particular strength of this archive is it's comprehensive over-view of Suschitzky's lesser known colour work from the early 1950s onwards. These colour photographs range from celebrated early subjects such as animals and factories, to his later global travels. Also of particular significance is his extensively annotated card indexes of photographs. This archive complements the larger archive at fotohof in Salzburg which contains Suschitzky's black and white photographs and related material.
