The Cabin

June 21–July 23, 2025

The Cabin conjures a sensibility as much as a setting—a curated retreat from urban velocity into a slower, more tactile state of being. This exhibition gathers works that evoke the intimacy and idiosyncrasy of the cabin as both a psychological interior and a physical shelter. Sculptures bear the imprint of hand and process, while paintings and photographs distill quiet encounters with landscape, memory, and domestic ritual. Throughout, there’s a sense of looking inward while being surrounded—by trees, by water, by time made generous. These are artworks attuned to texture and tone, attuned to solitude and the quiet revelations of a room warmed by the sun. They speak to a desire not for escape exactly, but for a different kind of attention—one that unfolds slowly, like a page turned at dusk or a bowl of cherries disappearing over a long afternoon.

Featured artists include: Roy Arden, Emily Hermant, Collin Johanson, Holger Kalberg, Scott McFarland, Alex Morrison, Gailan Ngan, and Alex Tedlie-Stursberg.
