Paltio Perak

Magical Everyday

(Indonesian Institute of the Arts, ISI)視覺傳達設計系。

(UOB Painting of the Year)」金獎,近年於國際藝術界展露頭角,並受邀參加多家知名美術館、權威機構與頂級國際藝術博覽會。

Palito Perak (born 1984, Bukittinggi, Indonesia) is a visual artist with an educational background in Visual Communication Design from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI). Beyond his artistic practice, he is an active participant in the Yogyakarta art ecosystem, working as both a designer and an organizer. His practice stems from the way media—particularly social media—shapes and disseminates imagery. He views this phenomenon as a form of simulacra, wherein reality is no longer distinguishable from its original source. This concept evolved to become the catalyst for ideas that he has translated into numerous painting series.

Palito Perak was awarded the Gold Medal for the UOB Painting of the Year in 2023. In recent years, he has gained prominent international recognition through features in prestigious museums, institutions, and major art fairs. Highlights of his exhibition record include group exhibitions at the renowned Museum MACAN (Arisan Karya #1, 2020), OHD Museum (Guru Terkambang Menjadi Bentuk, 2025), and Jogja National Museum (Pameran Bakaba, 2010), alongside his solo exhibition SOWWW at R.J. Katamsi Gallery (2023). Additionally, his work has been featured at top international art fairs, including Art Central Hong Kong (2026), Art Jakarta (2023–2026), Art Jakarta Gardens (2023–2026), Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong and Singapore (2025), and the Modern and Contemporary Art Festival (MoCAF) in Manila (2026).
