Blake D. Lenoir (B. LEN)(Chicago, IL) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work blends contemporary surrealism with socio-cultural inquiry. Shaped by a reclusive youth and a vivid inner world, he uses imagination as a tool to reinterpret people and environments—what he calls “re-situations.” His practice, marked by symbolism, distortion, and layered critique, explores the Black experience, generational cycles, and societal dissonance. Lenoir holds a BFA in Drawing and a minor in Sociology from Western Illinois University.
