OUTPOST is pleased to present Fingerbøl, an exhibition of recent oil paintings by Mads Hilbert. The three works in the exhibition depict various local and regional motifs: a figure in the Winter Garden at the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, a group of foxglove plants in the southern part of Jutland, and the Chinese Pavilion in Frederiksberg Gardens. Although thematically similar the works do not represent a cohesive narrative. Instead, they merely function as a sporadic collection of sites and situations that have influenced Hilbert’s recent work. Fingerbøl is the gallery’s second solo exhibition with Hilbert.
