In Situ marks the third chapter in celebrating five years of Guy Leclef and Forwart Gallery.
The story began with Remains To Be Seen, a solo exhibition within the walls of Forwart Gallery. Six months later, it continued with Extra Muros, taking Leclef’s work beyond the gallery walls and into the architectural setting of Cabuy.
Now, six months later, the journey continues at its source.
Guy Leclef opens the doors to his home and studio, offering a rare glimpse into the environment in which he lives, works and creates. His work is encountered alongside works in progress, materials and remnants, but also among the furniture, art, books and objects he collects and chooses to live with.
Rather than bringing Guy Leclef’s world into the gallery, In Situ brings us into his, allowing the work to be experienced within the personal surroundings from which it emerges.
