The group exhibition at The Curator Lab follows a project realized in 2025 within the framework of NADA East Broadway, in which the artists of the Berlin-based gallery were exhibited in New York and contributed to a broader engagement with contemporary art among the public. Building on this approach, the 2026 presentation is conceived as a continuation and further development of a dialogical exhibition format that fosters exchange between the Berlin and New York art scenes.

The Curator Lab provides an ideal framework for this initiative. As a collaboratively oriented exhibition space, it enables flexible and experimental formats while encouraging cooperation between galleries, curators, and artists. With this project, galerie burster continues its international orientation while reinforcing its commitment to supporting emerging artists. The exhibition functions as a platform for exchange, networking, and the further development of artistic positions in an international context.

Laura Mercedes Arndt (*1999 in Ribnitz-Damgarten, Germany) develops her painting through an exploration of community, the body, and proximity. Her figures appear in collective constellations in which they support, hold, and touch one another. Rather than individual portraits, she creates pictorial spaces in which identity is negotiated as a shared condition.

Christian August (*1977 in Halle, GDR) presents vivid, atmospheric landscapes that unfold between sky and earth, light and darkness. Between day and night, complex and almost floating ecosystems emerge, while remaining grounded in a recognizable reality. Without human figures, his painting focuses on the quiet, mystical presence of nature and its inherent beauty.

Enrico Bach
(*1980 in Leipzig, GDR) focuses on the construction of pictorial space in his painting. Through layered color fields and patterns, he creates compositions that oscillate between surface and depth. Instead of a central motif, structure, edge, and background are treated as equal elements of the image.

Evelina Reiter
(*1998 in St. Petersburg, Russia) combines urban observation with an expressive and dynamic pictorial language. Fleeting city scenes, movement, and everyday life are captured in bold lines and vibrant colors. Her figures move between stability and uncertainty within a field of risk and transition, while fragments of text introduce additional layers of meaning.

Bram Braam
(*1980 in Sittard; Netherlands) works at the intersection of painting and sculpture, using materials from the built environment such as concrete, wood, and steel. Through layering and transformation, he creates complex pictorial spaces between abstraction and reality. Visible traces of process and time are central to his practice.
