This show brings together works by Machteld Rullens, Robert Coutelas, Rosemarie Trockel and Meuser.
My wish was to showcase a selection of artists that complement Rullens’ unique, reconfigured object-based practise, both in material or form.
The focus lies on the transformation of material into autonomous structures. Across generations and contexts, all four artists engage with modest, industrial or everyday materials, shifting them from functional or neutral status into the realm of the artistic object.
